Ricordando Pi

A short humoresque (subtitled “π in faccia”) for violin and piano that was inspired by the occasion when a violinist-friend was (humorously) hit in the face with a pie. The musical structure of the piece is based on the number pi to 50 decimal places, then concludes with “π in the face.” The work was composed for and dedicated to violinist Sinella Aghasi.
